Childrens Dentistry at its best

Keeping the little ones smiling, all year round!

We aim to make the visit to the dentist an enjoyable experience for children and we want children to look forward to their dental visits.

We spend time with them so that we can educate them to keep a healthy diet and practice good oral hygiene.

We show them how to brush correctly so that they can be free of gum disease and fillings.

Sometimes Children's Dentistry is known as Paediatric Dentistry.

We offer a warm environment, children's stickers and a number of incentives to encourage your children to look forward to their dental visit.

With children of our own we appreciate how difficult it can be to juggle work, life and the commitments of children so we will be as flexible as possible to accommodate early or late (after nursery / school) appointments.

At what age should the first dentist appointment be?

In honesty the sooner your child becomes used to the dentist the more likely it is that they will become comfortable with then.

Children's Dentistry is very important, not only as it sets the path to good oral hygiene in the future but it also ensures that good routines are in place as the point that your little ones baby teeth begin to fall.

Typically babies or toddlers begin with us between the ages of 1-2 years old.

Are bottles bad for my babies oral / jaw development?

In many cases parents should be cautious where a babies has moved away from natural feeding from mum and has become dependant on a bottle, as this has a dramatic affect on the formation of the pallet.

Over the past couple of years a number of bottle manufactures have developed teats designed to ensure natural development.

Where every possible parents should either try to wein their little ones off a dummy as soon as possible or at least purchase a dummy designed for this purpose.
